Overview
Life Education AU traded manual data tasks and disconnected data capture systems for an automated online grant application process and a single source of truth for data capture and visualization with FormAssembly.
Long Generic Forms, High Bounce Rates
Challenge
Life Education AU (Life Ed) is a federated organization serving all Australian states and territories that empowers children to make safer and healthier choices through preventative health education. Each year, its Growing Good Gardens Grant program awards ten $1,000 scholarships to schools and communities to encourage people to garden, grow healthy habits, and improve physical and mental well-being with indoor and outdoor plants.Prior to FormAssembly, Life Ed juggled two different data capture services and struggled to effectively visualize and collate data after collection. The organization also dealt with limited functionality and customization with its form builder. Grant applicants found the 70+ question form process needed to be more manageable, leading to high drop and bounce rates.
”FormAssembly is quite simple and streamlined in regards to pulling reports and exporting CVSs but you can make it as sophisticated as you’d like. If you spend the time in it you can really find what it’s capable of.”

Streamlined Processes
Solution
All Life Ed’s online grant applications undergo review and selection with a group of judges and an administrative panel, so merging and correlating data for these presentations was a critical requirement in a new form solution. A robust Salesforce integration was also a must. Life Ed turned to FormAssembly as a single source of truth for data capture and customization of exports, so application data could be moved safely and securely in preparation for review.
FormAssembly also provided improved customization and functionality for both internal and end users during the application process. Currently, the application form includes over 70 qualitative and quantitative questions as well as sensitive questions requiring the input of personal data. Life Ed was able to streamline the front-end process for these applications, minimize the time spent completing the form, improve security, and ultimately increase form completion rates.
