Overview

Westmont College is a 1200-student liberal arts school located in Santa Barbara, CA. With FormAssembly, the college has moved data collection processes fully online, eliminating 40 hours a week in manual data entry and increasing online payments received by 160%.

Challenge

Westmont College struggled with paper form processes and siloed student information. These processes required that students print PDF forms and meet with faculty or staff in-person to receive necessary signatures before emailing forms back to college administration. This process became more complex and tricky after COVID-19 and local natural disasters caused school closings for days or weeks at a time.

Additionally, the campus operated in silos, with each department managing their own lists, files, emails, and student data. The college had no way of centralizing information or improving visibility of the many data processes happening across campus.
