Frequently Asked Questions
When is this available?
The new Salesforce Integration launched on April 9th, 2025. It is available now on workflow-enabled plans.
Which plans give access to the this connector?
This connector is only available in workflow. Workflow access is available on our Team, Enterprise, and Gov Cloud plans. Check your current plan details or contact our sales team to verify your access.
Will we have to update any existing Salesforce Connectors?
No, existing Salesforce Connectors will remain in their original format. You can choose to build workflows with the new connector at your convenience.
Is there an easy way to migrate our current Salesforce Connector to the new Salesforce Connector?
The new connector offers new tools like preconditions, dependencies, and action steps that require setup to use. That said, replacing your existing connectors can be fast, simply add a connector step to your workflow and use the documentation to help set it up to meet your needs.
Will the new connector be visible on existing forms?
The new connector is available in your workflows. Existing form-level connectors will remain unchanged.
Will old Salesforce Connectors stay in the original format?
Yes, old Salesforce Connectors will remain in their original format.
Are return variables global and can I reuse them in other workflows?
Return variables only exist within a single workflow. Refer to our documentation for specific details.
Can I upload documents through this new connector?
Yes! Documents generated in your workflows can be uploaded to Salesforce with this connector, as well as our workflow-native File Storage connectors.
How does prefill work with this connector?
The new Salesforce Workflow Connector supports prefill and data actions in a single, all-in-one Connector, making setup more streamlined and powerful. Prefill-like behavior is achieved using the Lookup a Record action, which now includes advanced logic and flexible mapping options. First-form prefill is coming to workflow very soon, keep an eye out for more updates.
What this means for your current Salesforce integration
Will the current connector be disabled at some point?
No, the current form-level Salesforce Connector will not be disabled.
We are not using workflow currently. What happens to the existing Salesforce Connector when this new one is released?
If you are only using form-level connectors, your existing setup will not be affected. The new workflow connector is a separate feature.
Will there be a lag once we have several connectors in a workflow?
The new Salesforce Integration is built with Salesforce’s Composite API, which reduces API calls and improves efficiency. We have optimized for performance to minimize potential lag.
We have a lot of complex connectors set up in the “old/current” Salesforce Connector. Will those be migrated over? Or deprecated?
Your existing connectors will not be automatically migrated or deprecated. You can choose to migrate them at your own pace.
Are these changes only coming to Workflow? Will they ever come to the “form native connector”?
These changes are currently focused on the workflow-based connector. We are always evaluating future updates and improvements for all our connectors.
