When time is tight and you need a form up and running fast, FormAssembly has you covered. There are four efficient ways to get started, each designed to help you save time and reduce manual setup.
Watch the clip below from our annual virtual user conference, FormFest 2025, to learn more, or read on for a recap.
1. Use a Template
Templates are a great option when you want to hit the ground running. You can use one of FormAssembly’s pre-built templates or create and reuse custom templates within your own instance. Templates include commonly used fields and layouts, so you can skip repetitive work and jump right into customization.
2. Use the Salesforce Import Tool
If you’re a Salesforce user, this is a powerful way to build a form backwards, starting from the data you need to collect. Just select the Salesforce fields you want, and the tool will automatically create your form fields and even begin setting up a connector. It’s a huge time-saver and ensures your form aligns perfectly with your Salesforce data.
3. Clone an Existing Form
Need a variation of a form you’ve already built? Cloning lets you duplicate an existing form with all of its logic, fields, and connector configurations. You’ll just need to reauthorize the connectors and update notifications, but all of the essential functionality comes over seamlessly.
4. Build from Scratch (When You Need Full Control)
While not the fastest option, starting from a blank form is great for experimenting and testing out features like conditional logic and dynamic pick lists. It’s ideal for sandboxing or when you want total control over every field and setting.
Pro Tip:
If you’re creating forms on a recurring basis—like monthly registrations—cloning or using templates can save you hours in the long run.
