Case Studies: Global Citizen Year & MAZON

Global Citizen Year

Global Citizen Year uses cross-sector partnerships to recruit and train a diverse corps of emerging leaders and supports them as apprentices across Asia, Africa and Latin America. These apprenticeships take place during a “bridge year” between high school and college.

Global Citizen Year has been using FromAssembly since September of 2009, and in that time they have transitioned to using FormAssembly web forms throughout their site. Global Citizen Year uses FormAssembly web forms to facilitate everything from their online application process, to newsletter sign ups, to collecting online donations. MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger

MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and alleviating hunger among people of all faiths and backgrounds. MAZON started using FormAssembly in October 2010, just before they began a new grant application cycle. With just a little help from consultants at Exponent Partners, they were able to quickly setup their application web form and integrate it with Salesforce. Salesforce integration ensured that all grant proposals, associated contacts, and attachments were available in Salesforce immediately, overcoming an historic problem MAZON had faced in previous rounds. MAZON gave applicants a headstart by prefilling existing Salesforce contact information in the form, allowing applicants to “spend less time filling in applications and more time feeding hungry people.” (Ed Yerke-Robins, Donor Relations & Communications Specialist)
