FormAssembly’s New Mobile App: What You Need to Know

In case you missed it, the FormAssembly mobile app is now available for download from the iTunes App Store! FormAssembly customers can use the app to access their forms and collect data remotely on iPhones and iPads. The app, which provides users with increased mobility, meets critical needs of our customer base, according to FormAssembly CEO Cedric Savarese.
“We wanted to offer customers access to the tools they use to streamline their business processes, especially offline,” said FormAssembly CEO Cedric Savarese. “We knew that a number of our customers needed mobility, which is exactly what the mobile app provides.”

Collect Data Anywhere, Anytime

In today’s day and age, most work is done online; however, there are still many situations where professionals might not have access to a reliable internet connection to complete data collection tasks. That’s where our offline capabilities come in handy.
Users can view their forms, collect data, and edit unsynced response data (if needed), then sync it with their account when an internet connection is available. This is especially useful for people who work from a variety of different locations outside of the office and need access to their FormAssembly forms to complete business-critical tasks.

How Customers Could Use the Mobile App

Before beta-testing the app, customers gave us feedback on ways that they could implement FormAssembly to accomplish key organizational tasks. Their examples show just how versatile the mobile app can be.

We work with a lot of nonprofits who have a field staff offline. There would be huge benefit to collecting data out in the field and pushing it to Salesforce later.

Katie McFadden, Director of Professional Services, Swift River Consulting

I work with an organization in Darjeeling, India. They have health workers who go into remote villages and into areas even close in to Darjeeling and weigh babies and record health issues. This would dramatically change the procedures of these health workers, make data entry into Salesforce so much easier, and, eventually, make it possible for them to reach the truly remote parts of the very mountainous countryside.

I am an attorney who often meets with clients at their homes where internet access is not available. Having the ability to collect their information at offsite locations would be very helpful.
Nathan Bocks, Attorney, Central Park Law PLLC

I have two employees who work out in the field—literally a field—and need to enter data about the work they are doing in a custom built object in Salesforce.  I would love to demo this to my staff and directors.

  1. Visit the App Store on an iOS device (iPhone or iPad).
  2. Search for “FormAssembly” and download the mobile app.
  3. Log into the app using your FormAssembly credentials.
