Name: Stephanie Hammond
Title: Manager of Customer Support
With FormAssembly Since: April 2018

1. What interested you about FormAssembly in the first place?

I did a lot of research on the company before I applied. I read through the blogs, looked at reviews, and I loved what I saw! The product is fantastic, and the team is amazing, and passionate about what they do. That was super important to me, and I knew I had to be a part of FormAssembly some way, somehow!

2. What’s your favorite thing about your job?

I absolutely adore the team I work with! Work environment is so key for me, so being a part of such a well-balanced team filled with such genuine people is really my favorite part of this job!

I also really enjoy being an advocate for my team, and learning the best ways to make their jobs easier and more efficient.

3. What excites you most about your position and growth opportunity at FormAssembly?

What excites me most is the opportunity to learn various facets within other teams at FormAssembly. I’ve been able to meet and interact with nearly everyone at the company, and that really allows me to grow professionally, and personally.

I’m a huge learner, and never want to stop growing, and absorbing all I can. FormAssembly meshes everyone’s expertise and experience in such a complementary way, and allows us to rub elbows with each other; I learn something new every day!

4. What are you looking forward to achieving at FormAssembly?

I’m looking forward to being completely well-versed in the product, so that I can support my team both functionally and technically! FormAssembly is such a fascinating product, and there are so many different ways our customers use it. I am learning more and more each day, and look forward to being an expert on it.

5. What unique qualities do you bring to the FormAssembly team?

I definitely see empathy as being one of my strongest qualities. Every decision I make, and every interaction I have–I really try to see the other person’s perspective, and feel how he or she feels. I think that always makes for healthy exchanges, even if you don’t necessarily agree on everything.

Secondly, I would say my passion for learning definitely helps. I’m not afraid to ask questions, and I realize that though I manage a team here, I’m learning from THEM every single day. It’s definitely humbling, and so rewarding at the same time.

6. What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?

I love anything music-related, reading, writing, and hanging out with my beautiful kids and wonderfully hilarious hubby.

7. What’s something not a lot of people know about you?

I write and compose songs. I’m also a low-key rapper. 🙂

8. Who was your role model/hero as a child?

My role model as a child was my father. As I was growing up, he was a commander in the Army. I was (and still am) routinely told by his soldiers that he was the best commander they’d ever had. He led his brigades with compassion, empathy, strength, and understanding.

In his home life with us, he was equally amazing. I could talk to him about everything, and he was always my rock and sounding board. I’ve always tried to emulate him in all of my interactions growing up, and can only hope today I’m half the leader he is.

9. What’s your spirit animal?

I’ve always been fascinated with large cats – like a bengal tigers and lionesses. They’re very mysterious, independent, and fiercely protective of their family. I wasn’t sure what my actual spirit animal was, so I took an internet quiz, and sure enough — a cat. 🙂
