How well do you know the awesome people behind FormAssembly? This series is the place to learn all about our incredible team members. This week we’re profiling Paul Lazatin, Head of Partnerships at FormAssembly.
Name: Paul Lazatin
Title: Head of Partnerships
With FormAssembly Since: May 2018

1. What interested you about FormAssembly in the first place?

My friend Steven Watkins, our Email Marketing Analyst, had let me know about this fantastic company he was working for. His endorsement, both for me and the company, went a long way. I liked the product, the culture, and wanted to work in the partner channel. All the pieces fit together very naturally and I’m grateful that they did!

2. What’s your favorite thing about your job?

Helping our partners help their client’s solve their problems and challenges through the use of our technology. It’s rewarding to hear clients thanking you for helping them put together a solution they might not have been aware existed.

3. What excites you most about your position and growth opportunity at FormAssembly?

The opportunity to play a part in helping our partners help their clients, growing the business, shaping the partner program, and watching the solution continually improve. The opportunity to learn more about the different ways we help and grow my personal skillset is also something I’m really excited about.

4. What are you looking forward to achieving at FormAssembly?

I’m looking forward to knocking our goals on the partner team out of the park, since that means we’re helping our partners knock their goals out of the park. I strive to make sure that we continue to be a go-to resource in our partners’ toolkits as trusted advisors and want to be on speed dial for each and every single consultant that we work with.

5. What qualities do you bring to the FormAssembly team?

I strive to bring energy, enthusiasm, and a team-first mindset in every conversation that I have. I’m a big believer in consistently cultivating a constant, continuous mindset of improvement. Apparently, I also appreciate alliteration. I also feel my experience in SaaS sales and account management brings a lot to the table.

6. What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my family very much. My wife, Cathy, and I have an 11-month-old son, Taylor. Fatherhood is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I enjoy athletics very much and am a rabid fan of the Oregon Ducks. I play basketball at least twice a week, both pick-up and in leagues. I enjoy running and obstacle course races, and am one race short of completing my Spartan trifecta. I also enjoy reading historical fiction and self-help books.

7. What’s something not a lot of people know about you?

I’m a pretty open book and very social. A lot of people are surprised when I tell them some of my favorite moments are when I spend time by myself. I enjoy solo hiking trips, concerts, and shows by myself and aim to do that at least once a month.

8. What’s your spirit animal?

A sea otter! Who doesn’t have a smile on their face when watching them swim around? I like it when the people I’m around are happy and I can be a part of that. Additionally, they’re meticulously clean, and I am very much like that.
