Every year, FormAssemblyâs fully remote team assembles for an all-team reunion, and the 2019 reunion is right around the corner. This year, our team is reuniting in Sonoma, California from September 9 to September 13. The company reunion is our opportunity to regroup with longtime coworkers, meet new ones, participate in fun team-building activities, and come together as we discuss the future of our company.
Â
Why Have a Reunion?
- 2019 has brought us tremendous growth yet again, landing us on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for the second year in a row. Because of this, weâve added several new team members, and our all-team reunion allows us time to get to know everyone better.
- We work hard! The FormAssembly reunion is our time to relax with our dedicated team and enjoy each otherâs company.
- The reunion is our time to come together and plan for the future, share bright ideas, engage with other departments, and focus on where FormAssembly is headed.
- Our team-building activities at our reunions help make our team even stronger together as we encourage communication and become more familiar with the people we work with daily.
What Our Team Has to Say
âAshley McAlpin, VP of Marketing
âKari Shaevitz, Director of Finance
âWhile we do build close bonds remotely via video calls, slack messages, and emails, getting together in person once or twice a year really adds the third dimension to our working relationships. This unimaginably helps with deeper communication, connections, and understanding. It’s more than just a work trip â it really cements lifelong friendships that make tackling any work-related challenge a million times easier.â
âJoey Owens-Barham, Director of Talent & Culture
“One of the best things about working at FormAssembly is its remote culture. While we prove day-in and day-out that you donât need to go into an office to work well together, there are times when itâs important to have shared experiences away from work to bond, celebrate, and strengthen our relationships (in some amazing locations). Our reunions give the entire company a chance to meet in person to learn more about each other as people and build genuine connections, both personally and professionally.â
âDavid Quinlan, Director of Product Management (former employee)
