Name: Jason Tong
Title: IT Operations and Security Officer

1. What interested you about FormAssembly in the first place?
The company was described to me as a completely remote workforce of knowledgeable and empowered people that function as an effective and cohesive unit.
2. What’s your favorite thing about your job?
Being at the forefront of emerging technologies, working in an agile team that can quickly pivot, and being entrusted with translating leadership’s strategic vision into reality with minimal oversight.
3. What excites you most about your position and growth opportunity at FormAssembly?
The role isn’t set in stone. It changes and grows as you mature and seek additional challenges and learning opportunities.
4. What unique qualities do you bring to the FormAssembly team?
I’ve been in a wide assortment of roles, ranging from junior technical support all the way to director of IT. Experiencing the responsibilities of each role and knowing how it impacts other parts of an organization helps me better prioritize and tailor my work product.
5. What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?
Badminton, volleyball, and working on cars.
6. What’s something not a lot of people know about you?
I paddle on a competitive dragonboat team.
7. Who was your role model/hero as a child? Why?
That’s easy. My mom. Able to work long hours and still tirelessly whip up tasty meals on a shoestring budget, play with us, help with homework—all with a smile.
