In September, the FormAssembly crew headed to Dreamforce, the biggest Salesforce gathering of the year. From manning three busy conference booths, to making lasting connections with our customers, to exploring exciting spots around San Francisco, the whole team had a blast. Check out the recap below for a firsthand look at some of our best Dreamforce memories and adventures.

Monday

On Monday, our team touched down in San Francisco at different times throughout the day. The first order of business was setting up booths throughout the conference site, including in the Main Expo, Admin Meadow, and Salesforce.org Lodge. After the prep work was complete, several team members headed out for a run across the Golden Gate Bridge, complete with a view of Alcatraz. Afterwards, everyone met up for a team dinner.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, the real hustle and bustle of the conference schedule began! Day 1 was the longest day of the expo, and our team members enjoyed plenty of great conversations with customers. We had the chance to talk data collection and security in the Salesforce.org Lodge, the Admin Meadow, and in the Customer Success Expo.

Tuesday also included powerful testimonials and mentions during different sessions. FormAssembly was featured by the University of Florida and University of Minnesota in a session on lobby management, and even received a shoutout from the AppExchange team!

Wednesday

On Wednesday, our team continued to manage booths and share why FormAssembly is the number one web form solution for Salesforce. We came prepared with plenty of fun swag items to give to attendees as they stopped by the booths and chatted with us. There was even an Alexa Dot on the line for those who took selfies with our team and shared the pictures on Twitter!

We also took the opportunity to film testimonial videos with customers and partners like ElevateActual, IntegraPay, and others.

Our own Hillary Sciscoe was a featured presenter at the Internet Connections Service Excellence Forum, where she had the opportunity to discuss KPIs that enhance business success.

FormAssembly again received notable mentions throughout the day’s sessions from Salesforce power users like Ian Gotts, who shared about FormAssembly’s GDPR capabilities alongside Geraldine Gray.

Wednesday’s lineup was complete with dynamic keynote addresses and fireside chats featuring notable speakers like Marc Benioff, Will.I.Am, and and Andre Iguodala. Of course, Dreamforce wouldn’t be the same without a show from an incredible artist. Metallica headlined this year’s Dreamfest concert, and our team had a great view of their iconic performance.

Thursday

Even as the week was winding down, FormAssembly received more exciting mentions during sessions. Katrina Garza, Manager of Customer Success, helped deliver an engaging presentation entitled “Taming Complexity with Repeatable Solutions.” Katrina presented alongside the Boston Athletic Association and Attain LLC and showcased the ability to save hundreds of hours of work each year with FormAssembly. In addition to the shared talk with Katrina, the Boston Athletic Association also presented alongside Attain in a separate session entitled “Punch Above Your Weight: Boston Marathon Reaches Big Results with Less Staff,” at the Westin St. Francis.

On Thursday night, Idealist Consulting hosted their annual Engagement Party at the Monarch Nightclub for nonprofits. FormAssembly co-sponsored the event, which is always a late-night highlight of the week for Dreamforce attendees.

Friday

The last day of Dreamforce was a short one, so the team gathered after booths were shut down to visit the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. Enjoying the beautiful scenery was a relaxing way to close out a busy week! The team flew back home on Friday and Saturday, ready to rest and update the rest of the FormAssembly team the following week.

Team Takeaways

After Dreamforce comes to a close, our team enjoyed reflecting on a whirlwind week. This year, we were able to have many rewarding conversations with current customers and partners and share what makes FormAssembly great with lots of new faces. Despite a full conference schedule, our team bond was strengthened through new experiences and adventures. Overall, the week was a great reminder of how rewarding it is to be part of a vibrant and growing Salesforce ecosystem. Here’s to a fulfilling Dreamforce 2018, and hoping that Dreamforce 2019 will be just as amazing.
