At FormAssembly, we work with many institutions of higher education as they serve students, faculty, and staff. Over the years, we’ve had a chance to highlight many of these universities and see firsthand how they use FormAssembly to revolutionize everyday business processes. With Higher Ed Summit 2018 just over a week away, we’ve rounded up our favorite higher ed case studies to showcase some great examples of how colleges and universities are using web forms. Maryville University

Recently named one of the top 3 fastest-growing universities in the nation, Maryville University is on a mission to make education accessible to all students. Maryville uses FormAssembly in a variety of use cases to serve students from the time of their initial inquiry, to the time that they enroll in classes. Staff members are able to streamline form data with Salesforce to keep their processes simple and organized.

“We all know how important it is to keep CRM data clean, and FormAssembly has helped us in this effort. We’ve automated and standardized much of the data input into our CRM (Salesforce) through forms, while making the experience easier for our users and prospective students,” Brian Heger, associate director of communications in the Office of Admissions shared.

University of Michigan

The University of Michigan’s Center for Educational Outreach, along with other departments at the university, uses FormAssembly to collect campus-wide data more effectively. From census data, to survey responses, to program interest forms, staff members rely on web forms to streamline processes for collecting information from the campus community.

“I like that [FormAssembly] is user-friendly. We’ve had groups come in where we’ve provided very little training for and they’re able to get their forms up and running,” said Haley Gould, Enterprise CRM Solution Architect.

Dominican University

Dominican University began using FormAssembly when they identified that an outdated paper process for distributing parking permits was creating extra hassle for students and staff. FormAssembly allowed the university to quickly transition to simplified web forms that saved valuable time and effort. With the improved system, the university cut down the wait time for parking permits from one and a half hours, to only five minutes.

Since their initial parking permit project, Dominican University has expanded their FormAssembly use to include faculty travel requests and guest access forms for the school’s network.

“With FormAssembly, security is clearly defined and protected, specifically with the data we’re collecting and storing,” said Adam Smeets, Director of University Information Systems.

Fresno Pacific University

Most higher education institutions have a need to streamline data with their existing CRM systems to create better and faster business processes. This was a high priority for Fresno University when considering web form options that would enable them to prefill data and input information automatically into their Salesforce system.

“The fact that [FormAssembly] directly writes into Salesforce, and that you can query the Salesforce database to prefill a survey — makes it easier for so many people on our team,” said Jonathan Maher, Director of Systems Analysis.
